Things take time. Usually way more time than you think they will.

Ten years ago, I used to lock myself in my studio drinking Red Bull until I finally made something good. Can after can, late into the night, just trying to get one track to a place I was actually happy with.

Today I signed a deal with Red Bull. I'm officially a Red Bull artist.

Ten years between those two sentences. And if you'd told me back then — on one of those nights where nothing was landing — that it would lead here, I'm not sure I'd have believed you.

That's the part nobody wants to hear: it takes time. Sometimes way more time than you think it will. But it's incredible where you can get to if you just find your lane, focus, and give it the years it actually needs.

And you best believe I'll still be locking myself in my studio drinking Red Bull until I finally make something good.

What this actually means

the wins that look sudden are usually a decade in the making — your job is to pick a lane and stay in it long enough for time to do its work.

What to do today

Reading about it doesn't make you better. These do.
